It is natural to associate the harp with the name Salvi, a reference point for musicians since the mid-1900s.

The story of Salvi Harps starts in the early 19th century in Vincenza with Giranimo Salvi giving his name and starting what would become one of the leading harp brands in the world.

The family tradition continues with his son Rodolfo, which transfers the business first to Venice, then to America, where he raised five children, of which: Albert, who will be defined by Nicanor Zabaleta as “the greatest harp player of all time,” Aida who will become a composer and harpist of the Chicago Opera. And Victor, who will become harpist of the New York Philharmonic and the NBC Orchestra.

For Victor Salvi, playing at the highest level is not enough. Soon, his artistic passion merges with that of enterprise and brings him to assume the responsibility to continue the family business. His dream is to create the best harp in the world and make the instrument more accessible to harpists and to the widest possible audience.

Some information on the different harp collections

Lever harps

Salvi offers two categories of lever harps: student and professional. Since the manufacturing of student harps is less complex, the result is harps that are lighter and less expensive.

Salvi offers Celtic harps strunged with nylon strings and some models with standard pedal gut strings. Harps with nylon strings can also be optionally strunged with gut strings of smaller diameter; designed specifically for these lever harps.

Student pedal harps

Salvi offers four models of studend pedal harps ranging from 40 to 47 strings.

Professional pedal harps

Presence, charm and beauty come together in a harmony of perfect sound. The concert may begin.

Most professional pedal harps have a range of 47 strings, Concert Grand (CG) format. Some professional harps are slightly smaller, built for ease of transport and are considered Semi Grand (SG).

Premium pedal harps

Masterpieces of craftsmanship and technology that combine quality materials and perfect sound.
